Important News from Becky Carter

Dear Supporters, Volunteers and Friends:

I have some news for you! After nearly three and a half exciting and rewarding years as Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Nashville, I will soon transition into a broader role that will enable me to do even more to promote the vital work of Rebuilding Together. In mid-June, I will become a Regional Director for Rebuilding Together’s national office with the task of helping support and grow Rebuilding Together affiliates in states throughout the Central US. A big advantage for me personally is that I’ll be staying in Nashville, where you’ve made me feel so much at home. This means I can continue to take part in the wonderful work you do on behalf of RTN in this amazing city.

Rest assured that Rebuilding Together Nashville is in very good hands! We’ve spent the last three years planning for organizational growth and within the past year worked closely with the Center for Nonprofit Management to develop a social enterprise business plan that – once funded – will help sustain our mission of reaching even more low-income homeowners. That’s because the need in Nashville has never been greater. In fact, at the close of FY16, RTN will have doubled the number of projects completed last year, and we can now proudly say that we work year-round.

Thank you for all YOU did to help make these last three years a success. You volunteered, advocated and supported our work. Neighbors helping neighbors; without you our growth wouldn’t have been possible.

I have truly loved every minute of my time with Rebuilding Together Nashville. You will certainly see me around town and out in the field, rolling up my sleeves alongside you to continue the hands-on, life-changing work that RTN is known for.

Thank you for supporting our work and valuing our mission!

Sincerely,

bcarter-sig

Becky Carter is the driving force behind RTN’s ongoing work to help provide critical repairs to low-income homeowners in the greater Nashville metropolitan area and surrounding counties. She first joined Rebuilding Together in 2006 as a volunteer coordinator at the Washington, D.C. home office. Having earned communications degrees from Colorado State University and Georgetown University, Becky was a natural fit for directing Rebuilding Together’s national marketing and public relations efforts. In 2013, she was appointed Executive Director of Rebuilding Together Nashville, where she is hard at work building a strong volunteer and support base to assist Nashville homeowners who are most in need.
